#7 Appetizers at Andaz Savannah
This had no right being so good! I never would of had it if I didn’t get free appetizers with my hotel stay and I would have missed out. I had red rice fritter with sausage and hushpuppies with honey butter at 22 Square Bar. They were the freshest hushpuppies I’ve ever had. I could taste the veggies in them and the honey butter was melt in your mouth good, so yummy I’d eat it just with a spoon. The rice fritters were so delicious and indescribable.
#6 Kimchi Crunch Wrap at Little Fleets
I feel a little bad for having this on the list because it’s from Happy’s Taco Shop and they closed at the end of October in 2023. It looked so good and when I heard they were closing permanently in a month I had to try it even though I had already had lunch, ice cream and was going out for dinner in a two hours. The flavors were mouthwatering! It was a little too wet though, they should of dried the kimchi a little before making it. I didn’t finish it because of how full I already was and how messy to eat it was. It was definitely worth it though. I’m now on the lookout for kimichi at Mexican spots now.
#5 Brewers Row in Tacoma, WA
This was so good and such an incredible neighborhood spot. It’s in a cute neighborhood in North Tacoma. I don’t say this about most places but I wouldn’t mind living in Tacoma, it has such a small town feel and is so beautiful. If I did live there I’d come to Brewers Row for happy hour at least once a week! It’s a small mexican place with local beer, wine and cider. We took full advantage of happy hour. The cider was so good and they had a selection at $2 off. The $3 chips and salsa were fresh and house made. The $8 nachos were amazing and more than two people can eat.
#4 Westman’s Bagels at Capitol Hill Seattle
Best Bagels I’ve ever had!!! It’s a small operation with two people in a small outside garage/storage unit situation, so I’d recommend getting there early in the morning but so worth it! Even my dad stopped complaining about getting up early.
#3 Toga Pizza at The Strait Slice Pizza Co. in Port Angeles, WA
This place is a true hidden gem! Port Angeles is the gateway to Olympic National Park but it’s still a small town. This pizza shop is fairly small and most of the people coming in were locals picking up pizza to go. The wait for pizza didn’t seem too long but with local beer and cider on tap and views of Mt. Olympus time flew by. Toga Party Pizza was so yummy and I’ve never had something like it before with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, artichoke, roasted garlic and feta. It’s the best pizza I’ve ever had. I would of loved to eat it the next day but we finished it!
#2 Alligator Soul in Savannah
This was one of my best nights ever! The crab was amazing but the Okra and Alligator made it remarkable. I did a whole restaurant review on Alligator Soul so I’ll just say that I’d travel just to eat here again!
#1 Kottu at Fremont Sunday Market in Seattle
This might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten!!! It was so much food I couldn’t even finish it. Kottu is a Sri Lankan street food truck. I had the mango chicken curry. The chicken was succulent and it was so delicious. There were so many flavors and crunchy bits that I don’t even know what they were but I’d eat it every day if I could.
