I loved my stay at Hyatt House Charleston Historic District. I’ve never been to a Hyatt property quite like it.
It’s a little hard to find from the road because all you can see is a parking garage sign for Hyatt House and Hyatt Place next to a brick alley, a car and a half wide.
Once you drive in it opens up into a gorgeous turn around. The parking garage is on the right with the hotel opposite. Hyatt Place side of the building is further in and Hyatt House side is closer to the street.
It’s like a little oasis with outdoor seating and a fire pits in the corner where Hyatt House and Hyatt Place meet.
You check in at the Hyatt Place desk, both Hyatt are similar but I liked the layout of the Hyatt House rooms better. To the left of the reception is the dining area with bars, booths, and tables where breakfast is served to all the guest.
The breakfast buffet is the best I’ve ever had, the eggs and potatoes are a must.
I stayed in a Studio King with a kitchen and sofa bed. My favorite features were the mini mudroom with coat hooks, shoe cubby and mirror by the door. Also the TV rotates to watch in bed or on the sofa.
